Cayaba Care Raises $12M in Series A Funding

Cayaba Care, Philadelphia, PA-based maternity health startup, closed a $12m Series ARound of funding

Theround was led Seae Ventures and Kapor Capital and includes new investors Wellington Partners, Citi Impact Fund and Rhia Ventures.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its presence within underserved populations, increase staff, launch in additional marketsAnd further invest in technology solutions.

Founded in 2020 by Dr. Olan Soremekun, CEO, Cayaba Care is a maternal health company offering community-based clinical services via technology-enabled multidisciplinary care teams. It provides care coordination, benefit sign-up, routine maternity care in the prenatalAnd postpartum period, mental health/counseling, breastfeeding support, and patient education. AsThe company partners with health systems like Einstein Medical Center PhiladelphiaAnd Penn Medicine, as well community organizations such as high school, church groups, nonprofits, and local authorities to provide holistic, home based care beyond what current services can offer.
