Certn Raises $50M in Series B Funding

Certn, Victoria, BC, Canada$50M raised for a provider of background screening solutions based in California in Series B funding.

TheRound was led by B CapitalParticipation by BMO Tribe, Inovia Capital, Telstra Ventures, Scribble, Moxxie Ventures, Gaingels, Covalent Ventures.

TheCompany plans to use the funds in order to further develop its solutions and grow. inWorldwide, there are new markets. 

LedBy CEO Andrew McLeod, CertnBackground screening solutions for businesses that allow them to make fact-based hiring choices, lower hiring costs, improve the user experience for applicants, and recruiters. The company’s human risk intelligence solution uses AI and machine learning to streamline the candidate screening process, reduce costs, and boost total time to value (TTV) for HR and operations leaders around the globe. TheEnterprises, mid-market businesses, and small businesses all use these solutions to find the right candidates.

TheCompany is expanding its global presence following the recent acquisition of Credence, a UK-based provider for global background checks. CertnPlans to create 160 new positions this year and has made several strategic hires, including a new managing Director for the U.S. Market.
