Zolar Raises €100M in Series C Funding

Zolar, Berlin, Germany-based digital solar platform, raised €100m in Series C funding.

TheRound was led By Energy Impact PartnersGIC and participation from existing investors Inven Capital, Heartcore Capital, Statkraft VenturesAnd Pirate Impact Capital. 

Founded in2016 by Alex MelzerAnd Gregor Loukidis in Berlinzolar is a digital platform that offers individual solar solutions, tailored to the needs and wants of homeowners looking for green energy. WithThe startup offers digital shopping and access to photovoltaics. This will allow more people to use renewable energy. inThey can also make an important contribution to climate change by protecting their homes.

TheCompany plans to use the funds to expand its business reach and to launch new digital energy products. AmongOthers will see the app expand to include an energy management system as well as a dynamic electricity tariff. ItSmartly manages the solar power supply to homeowners, maximising energy independence and cost savings. It will also recognize the best time for charging an e-car, and automatically start the charging process. zolar will grow its reach. Craftship Partner NetworkThere are currently 500 local craft companies. This will increase the capacity to install solar energy by 3000 by 2025. The company will also open its own training centre this year to tackle the renewable sector’s skills gap and train workers inA qualified fast-track process to the energy turnaround.  

ZolarEmploys more than 370 people in all of its locations Germany.
